This place is called the cookie jar, I will try to constantly post some of the things I build, things that are meant to sweeten everyday’s life, in and off the internet.
First cookie in the jar is a small FREE tool(chromehacker10) that can hack into Google’s Chrome backend and alter some of the data there. Chrome is a great product that I first started to use while still in beta stage. However from the beggining I found out that the configuration panel of Chrome is at most incomplete, and this tool is meant to fix just this, for the time being until google updates Chrome. This is a 2 hour project so far so there are only 2-3 features implemented namely, the ability to remove A(one) link from the most visited links or history panel or whatever you would call it. Chrome comes with the ability to remove ALL the links by clearing the browsing data and also with the incognito window(Ctrl+Shift+N) which should keep the page from getting in the most visited window. I being, before Chrome, like anyone else for that matter, a firefox user had to train myself to dissociate from links that I wouldnt want have in the most visited window and the ones that I couldnt care less if end up there, because before Chrome, there was only Ctrl+T. If you didnt reinstall windows and used Chrome without the knowlegde of the incognito window, you might find the ChromeHacker useful. Another feature is the ability to actually clean the downloads window(I mean, what were they thinking when they left this feature out of Chrome ?)
Shortcut keys that work are:
Ctrl+f - find
F3 - find next
del - delete selected link
If you hover over the link that you want to delete (in chrome) you will see the actual link in the status bar. You can search for the exact same link in ChromeHacker for quick results.
Until next time..
